Our Business

Custom Event Concepts was formally established in the summer of 2006 between two friends with a passion for planning. Both women had used their planning expertise in their "regular" 9-5 jobs, but quickly the word spread among freinds and family that they were the "go to" girls making every event a success. Soon they were planning weddings, birthdays, showers, and every other type of social event you could dream up.

Meanwhile they still had responsibilities in thier full-time jobs. Cherrie in the corporate world and Jennifer in the non-profit world. They soon realized that they hit the trifecta of event planning. Between social, wedding, corporate, and non-profit events they covered the spectrum of experience to become planners-for-hire. In early 2007 they decided to "go public" and share their creative gifts with the Metroplex.

Who We Are

Cherrie Cannon (pictured left), earned her degree in Communications from the University of Texas in 2000 and with her first position out of college assisted her company in planning tradeshows and product launches. Her passion for wedding planning was sparked when in 2003 she got married and realized that planning a wedding is not too different from a tradeshow or conference (except that instead of crazy businesspeople, you have crazy families!).

Jennifer Wilson (pictured right), earned her degree in Public Relations from Texas Wesleyan University in 2007. Since 1999, she has been planning events related to domestic and international travel, seminars, socials, golf tournaments, fund raisers, carnivals, reunions, board meetings, product launches, employee recognition programs, volunteer appreciation, and award's dinners.
